San Giorgio Maggiore cathedral and campanile (bell tower) across the lagoon in Venice, before dawn. It was misty and quiet. San Giorgio was designed by the legendary architect Palladio, and sits on its own little island. The domed church to the right is Santa Maria della Grazie. These two church silhouettes are emblematic of Venice.
